The VIS-02 room stays. The fireplace face, full-wall metal mantel, hearth and finish references are revised below.

VIS-03 — geometry/material coordination revision based on latest fireplace/hearth dimensions and confirmed Durham Hickory II flooring; supersedes VIS-02 for design geometry while retaining VIS-02 room/context reference.

VIS-03 room views

Preserve the room width, windows and spacing, ceiling geometry, existing firebox position and general proportions. At the illustrated elevation, the full-wall mantel crosses window glazing: resolve elevation, clearance and support in the field. These generated views communicate appearance; dimensioned coordination drawings and verified field measurements govern. Hearth height is TBD; any 2-in. or 3-in. visual reference is FIELD VERIFY / NOT RELEASED.

Depth coordination: cap projects ≈6–7 in beyond stone; base ≈5–6 in beyond stone; mantel ≈1–2 in beyond cap. These are derived relationships, not additional approved dimensions.

Earlier 8¾-in floor-to-stone/opening note has an unresolved datum; do not use it to relocate the opening. Retain recorded 30½-in windowsill and 22½-in stone/window relationship as field references, subject to final remeasurement.

Wall stone

River Canyon Natural Marble Ledger Panel, Floor & Decor SKU 101022556. Preserve the larger stone character in the preferred visual with the actual ivory/cream/beige/taupe marble palette. The prior small stone inset is rejected as a color reference.

American Spirit Durham Hickory II, hand-scraped engineered hardwood, SKU 100598689. IMG_0927 is the primary color/grain reference; IMG_0928 establishes product identity.

Mantel

Custom dark floating metal; full fireplace-wall width; approximately 8 in beyond the finished stone. Final finish, thickness, elevation, attachment/backing and appliance clearances remain subject to approval and verification.

Existing trim

IMG_0737 provides the best close view found, corroborated by IMG_0734 and IMG_0739. Depict existing painted-white trim conservatively. Exact profile, height and thickness FIELD VERIFY; obtain a measured physical sample before matching.

Room and ceiling

The stone face sits between windows beneath a ceiling that rises outward into the room. The existing firebox stays in its current position; its precise relation to the original wall datum remains to be measured.

HEATILATOR / MANUAL VERIFICATION GATE

Before construction release

Heatilator HD42 family is a working identification only. Verify data plate and exact suffix, documents 12955 (4-14-88), 12063 (6-6-88), and installed gas equipment listing. No conceptual dimension overrides applicable manufacturer clearances, service/gas access, structural backing or field measurements.

The appliance and chimney remain fixed. No fabricated firebox extension is approved. Confirm the exact gas equipment and listing; do not assume a particular insert from a render. Preserve glass/door removal, louvers, convection openings, lower service access and permanent gas-shutoff accessibility. Any valve or piping change requires separate qualified-trade review.

VIS-02 and earlier geometry — SUPERSEDED / ROOM CONTEXT ONLY

VIS-02 is retained for camera positions and room context only. Its no-hearth design, 5–6-in face projection, 4-in/8-in profile studies, 72-in mantel and 4-in side overhang, and unconfirmed-flooring statements are superseded. Its small stone inset is not an approved sample. Do not build from these historical sheets.
